Bosnia PSO Training Centre

Provision of a Peace Support Operations Training Centre, to allow for training of up to 40 students per course. The purpose of the facility is to train junior officers from the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in multi-international peace support and humanitarian operations.

Designed and constructed to meet the UK Building Regulations and British Standards using a local contractor and where possible local materials and build methods. A notable feature of this build is the climatic conditions experienced in Sarajevo which range from 40ºc in the summer months to -17ºc in the winter months.

Gifford was responsible for Project Management and full design of this facility along with Quantity Surveyor duties with specialist sub-consultant resource for Architecture. Gifford was also appointed Planning Supervisor.
