New Hall, Lymington Community Centre
This project involved demolition of a split level library building and construction of New Hall in an historic area for mixed and flexible community use together with ancillary rooms, landscaping and car parking. Services include audio visual, mechanical ventilation and electrical heating. All areas have good accessibility with provision for all ages. The hall was opened by BBC Radio Solent presenter Julian Clegg on 15 June 2007.
Notable Features
A well controlled brief and budget resulted in the delivery of a dynamic and flexible building for community use. Flexibility was ensured through planning in division of Main Hall accessing shared store, tea bar and function kitchen.
